SIMPLE AND BRILLIANT... OR, SIMPLY BRILLIANT
A palindrome reads the same backwards as forward. This video reads the exact opposite backwards as forward.
Not only does it read the opposite, the meaning is the exact opposite. This is only a 1 minute, 44 second video and it is brilliant. Make sure you read as well as listen…forward and backward.
This is a video that was submitted in a contest by a 20-year old. The contest was titled "u @ 50" by AARP. This video won second place. When they showed it, everyone in the room was awe-struck and broke into spontaneous applause. So simple and yet so brilliant. Take a minute and watch it.

A TRIBUTE FOR ROBERT
"CHICO" FRANKEL
POSTED 3/2/10

Dear Friends of Robert “Chico” Frankel,
Many of Chico’s family members, friends, colleagues, and former students, have expressed interest in doing something to honor his life and work in the Brentwood community. He left an impact on hundreds of students he taught and counseled, and a void in all of our lives by his leaving.
What better way to remember him, than with a bronze plaque dedicated in Sonderling, not far from his office, and near a peaceful pond, much like the one he created in his own garden.
A plaque of this quality, with bust and inscription, will cost close to $2500. Therefore, if you are so inclined to join in this effort, to memorialize Chico, your contribution will be an added testimonial. Additional money collected will be used to purchase a weeping cherry tree to be planted by the pond.
You may send checks made out to “Cash” to: Bobbe Frankel, 390 Hewlett Ave., E. Patchogue, NY 11772, or Patti Monsen, 46 First Street, Brentwood, NY 11717, with “Friends of Chico” in the bottom left corner of your check. You may also drop off your contribution at either Guidance Office in care of: Vivian Nelson in Ross, or Denise Fasano or Antoinette Shervington in Sonderling.
We have ordered the plaque, and plan to have the dedication on the anniversary of his passing, Tuesday, April 6th, which is also the day school opens after Spring Break. The dedication will take place in the entrance hall to the Sonderling Center at 2:00 PM.
Please mark your calendars, and thank you for your participation.

With appreciation,
Bobbe Frankel
Patti Monsen
